Parents are the primary educators of teenagers in matters of faith and morals, but Saint Mary Magdalen Parish/Saint John Mission Youth Group is here to help you! Our Youth Group meets Sundays follwoing the 5:30 p.m. Mass at Saint Mary Magdalen Church. Your teen is invited to join on any Sunday, just drop on in! Parents are welcome to stay and with your teen re-learn and re-discover the beauty and depths of the Catholic Faith. If you would like a copy of the Youth Catechism, our textbook for Confirmation, please contact Christian Spencer at 425-353-1211. Some considertions in the formation of your child's faith: Remember...your children are watching mom and dad closely and asking the following questions: Do I ever see mom and dad on their knees praying? Do mom and dad ever volunteer their time at church? Do mom and dad go to confession regularly? Do mom and dad go to Mass and receive Holy Communion each week? Does being Catholic mean something that we do on Sunday or does it impact every aspect of our lives? Where do mom and dad draw strength to keep going in life? Where will I? Does the way that mom and dad live convince me that faith in Jesus Christ is worthy and relevant to my life? These are questions that might be going through our children’s minds. They are watching and observing, how will they answer the questions? *** Please Help Us Feed Our Youth! !!!! IMPORTANT!!!! |
