Adult Faith Formation

  • A deeper understanding of the Faith can help us to grow in our spiritual lives, developing our intimate relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Through this relationship, we also grow closer as people, forming the one community of the Church. Such faith formation is not just for children, but for all of us as we grow in love of Christ.

Catechesis

  • Faith formation opportunities are available for adults who want to learn more about the Catholic faith and for those who want to become Catholic. Confirmed and actively practicing adults are needed to sponsor candidates who are seeking to join the Catholic Church, to share their faith stories with the community, and to help out on the prayer teams for those involved in formation.

Contact Maxim Farrell at mfarrell@smmparish.org to get involved!

  • The Catholic Church warmly welcomes those with an interest in discerning their own entry into full Communion with her. The Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults, the global process of entering into the Church, begins in September, with inquiry and registration meetings taking place over the summer. Prayer

  • There are a number of communal prayer opportunities in our parish. First and foremost, of course, is our liturgical worship in Mass.

There are also groups devoted to prayer, such as the group who meet for devotions before the Blessed Sacrament at Saint John Mission on Tuesday afternoons.

The Adoration Chapel is open every day from 7am to 7pm at Saint Mary Magdalen.

Our Hispanic Community has a Spanish-language prayer group that meets every Monday evening.

The current bulletin will have details on many of these opportunities. If you have questions about a specific one, reach out to the parish office!

Online

  • Our community is pleased to offer access to FORMED, a service of the Augustine Institute, to every parishioner.

Simply click here, search for our parish, and enter the code 7PR9TY if prompted.

Prayer Groups

A handful of prayer groups meet at our parish in various ways during the week. For more information, consult the current bulletin or reach out to the Parish Office!

Bible Study

A group that meets weekly to read and study the Scriptures. Meetings are at 7pm on Wednesday in St. Mary Magdalen School. Contact Mark Edson at (425) 327-8657.
