What We’ve Achieved So Far
In 2016, with 2,000 households, the House of God-Gate of Heaven campaign began raising funds to both transform our sport court into a gymnasium and to rebuild the church amid major structural concerns, beautifying and expanding it in the process. The Archdiocese of Seattle loaned funds to ensure completion of these projects.
In 2024, with 3,000 families, we began the My Lord & My God: Now and For the Future campaign. Through it, we massively reduced the debt incurred by these projects from over $4.1 million to about $1.9 million in just three years (over 50%!), saving almost a half-a-million dollars in interest payments. A new boiler & HVAC system were also installed for our school; many of our learning and meeting spaces were updated & upgraded; and the roofs were repaired or replaced on the Rectory, Security Portable & Music Portable.
This campaign concludes on December 31, 2026 and ALL collection of funds for it will end that day.
We are sincerely grateful to every person who participated in these campaigns and to each person who continues to contribute to the building of our parish through prayer, sacrifice, and gifts of time, talent, & treasure.
Our 2027 Debt Reduction Effort
However, we still owe $1.9 million to the Archdiocese of Seattle. The interest rate increased this year, and our current monthly payment is almost $10,000.
So, today, with 3,600 households, we ask for your continued support. Our goal now is to pay off our loan for the church, where we gather around God’s Altar to hear His Word and be guided by His love. Based on current giving trends, we are confident we CAN fully pay off the loan by the end of 2027.
So, at this time, we ask all parishioners to prayerfully consider a one-year pledge to Debt Reduction.
Your Debt Reduction Pledge
100% of your pledge or gift will go to paying off our loan.
Pledges are in addition to annual Stewardship giving, which funds our day-to-day operations.
Pledge payments will begin in January 2027 and end in December 2027 or when the loan is paid off — whichever comes first.
