From the Pastor

Dear brothers and sisters, parishioners and visitors, I warmly welcome you to the parish of Saint Mary Magdalen in south Everett and Saint John in Mukilteo. Our vibrant community is blessed with a rich multicultural spirit, reflected in the wide diversity of languages, traditions, and people that make up our family of faith.

Each weekend, between our two churches, we celebrate Mass in three languages: one in Spanish, one in Vietnamese, and five in English. We are enriched by the gifts contributed by the cultures represented throughout our congregation: Hispanic, Vietnamese, Filipino, African, Indian, and many others.

Together, our mission is to celebrate the living presence of Christ among us and to witness to the Gospel each day by our lives. We are united by our belief in Jesus Christ, our worship of Him as Church, and our ministry to our brothers and sisters in His Name.

We invite you to join in our life of prayer, fellowship, liturgy, and service, and to share in the joys and challenges of Christian discipleship together. As we walk together guided by the Holy Spirit, may the love and grace of God strengthen and sustain us all each day.

Sincerely in Christ,
Father Hans M. Olson, Pastor

Parish Mission Statement

We are one community, united in our Catholic liturgy, mission, & faith.

We strive to grow in holiness and love of Christ; to embrace stewardship as a life of discipleship; and to celebrate our cultural diversity.

We welcome all who wish to share our faith and worship.

United in the Good News and the Universal Church, we seek:
+ To grow in understanding of the Gospel in our lives.
+ To express our unity through our Eucharistic worship.
+ To proclaim the presence of Jesus Christ to the world.

We are a welcoming Catholic community, called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people.
