Pastor’s Summer 2026 Update Letter
My brothers and sisters,
A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to the building up of our parish through prayers, efforts, and donations. Your gifts of time, talent and treasure are producing a visible presence and legacy for future generations within the Archdiocese and Everett community. Since the original 350 parishioners in 1957, our number of registered parishioners has increased tremendously.
In the last three years the number of registered households has increased from 3,000 to 3,600! We also celebrated a record number of adult and children Baptisms, Confirmations and First Communions in April and May this spring.
Through parishioner support of two capital campaigns — the 2013 to 2018 House of God, Gate of Heaven campaign and our current My Lord and My God: Now and for the Future [MLMG] campaign — we’ve expanded our beautiful church, constructed a gym, remodeled the parish kitchen, and modernized the school. We have also significantly reduced the loans owed to the Archdiocese of Seattle and saved almost $484,000 in interest by paying down the principal loan balances. By our continued efforts, we hope to increase the number of contributing households which support the capital campaign.
Our current goal is to pay off the two outstanding loans within three years. Of the MLMG funds collected, 2/3 of contributions pay down the loans and the remaining 1/3 cover capital projects. This summer’s capital project is resurfacing the lower parking lot. May God guide us in giving back to Him as He generously gives to us.
